2021 Cross Town Charity Game

On December 17th, 2021, Team Cont;nue had the honor of being the chosen charity for the 2021 Cross Town Charity Game between Stoney Creek High School and Rochester High School.

Team Cont;nue raised just over $3000. Over 300 shirts were distributed to players, and fans, specifically Stoney Creek High School's student scetion, "The Core". It was a sea of gold as the gymnasium represented Team Cont;nue.

Team Cont;nue recognized some very important people to our foundation:

    • Art Ingram and Regina Murray and Common Ground for their tireless work this past month supporting the Oxford Community. In 2021 Team Continue awarded $2000 to this organization.
    • 2018 and 2021 Cont;nue award winners Kevin Price and Matt Daines. The Cont;nue Award has been given to a four year wrestler since 2017 recognizing outstanding teamwork and an ability to overcome adversity. This year Team Continue awarded a $1000 Rochester Community School Foundation to Matt Daines who plays Rugby and is studying Architecture at the University of Michigan. Kevin is a graduating Senior Studying Kinesiology, a member of SAE Fraternity and Secretary of the Team Continue Foundation Board of Directors.
    • Katelyn Kraemer from Knowresolve. In 2020, Team Continue donated $10,000 to Knowresolve. Knowresolve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental health and preventing youth suicides through outreach, advocacy and education. Their goal is to break down the silence, shame and stigma surrounding mental health disorders and provide adults and youth with tools needed to prevent suicide.
    • Diane Johnston and Patricia Thaar-Tocco from Thaar Care Foundation The Thaar Care Foundation provides prevention, education and community awareness associated with mental health services, suicide prevention and personal growth through counseling, community involvement and outreach programs.
    • Anne and Steve Gealy for being a 3 year Major Sponsor of Team Continue Foundation. Since 2021, their business Main Street Bicycles has supported the foundations major annual fundraising event called the 58er Ride. 58 was Peter Prices number as a Stoney Creek Football Player. It is a 29 mile Macomb Orchard Trail and 58 Mile Gravel Ride. Also, if a T-Shirt has been purchased you will receive $18 off the registration for the ride. The ride includes T-Shirt, Lunch and Music Band after ride. Register for the 2022 ride here!
    • Tom Klar, President of Donation Mortgage, as a 2 year Major Sponsor of Team Continue. Every Mortgage done with Donation Mortgage, they will give $500 to the charity of your choice (which we hope is the Team Continue Foundation).
    • Knuckle Sandwich for being a 2 Year Major Sponsor, donating over 20,000 to the Foundation from the Guy Fieri Foundation. Guy is the cousin of Rob Price and Peter Price and was very close to Peter.
